NDTA board selects new president
It is my distinct privilege and pleasure to announce the Board of Directors’ selection of NDTA’s next president and CEO – Vice Adm. Andy Brown. Andy officially joins the team on 4 October 2017, just in time for the Fall Meeting!
Per Mr. Bill Flynn, Chairman of the NDTA Board of Directors, “Vice Adm. Brown comes to us after a distinguished 37-year Navy career, which he capped most recently as the Director of Logistics on the Joint Staff. Andy is a respected and experienced logistician with a true appreciation for the association and the defense transportation industry. He is a man of great depth and character and we look forward to his leadership in the days ahead.”
On his selection, VADM Brown said, “I’m very privileged and excited to join NDTA. NDTA plays a critical role in our nation’s preparedness to support global military operations. By strengthening relationships between the military, government and private sector organizations in the logistics and transportation sectors, we strengthen the options available to our senior decision makers. I greatly appreciate Rear Adm. Buzby’s inspirational work over the past three years. We’ll continue to build on his strategic vision to grow NDTA and increase its value to the people and institutions that work tirelessly to protect our great country.”
You’ll see Vice Adm. Brown appear at the upcoming NDTA-USTRANSCOM Fall Meeting in St. Louis. Please stop by and give him a hearty welcome!
All the best from NDTA HQ,
Interim President and CEO
